Recent data from Lands of America shows $731 million in rural property, ranches and hunting land for sale in Pennsylvania. This represents some 245,136 acres of Pennsylvania land for sale. The most expensive piece of land listed for sale on Lands of America recently was $45 million, while the median price for land for sale in Pennsylvania was $315,028. The average price of land listed for sale in Pennsylvania was $463,456. There was 392 acres of sold land in Pennsylvania recorded last month through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from the previous period. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $3.8 million. Outdoor journal Seneca Creek recently pegged Pennsylvania as one of the country's "Top 3 Fly-fishing States, " and it's hard to disagree with this assessment. Species including trout, steelhead and panfish swim in more than 85, 000 miles of streams and rivers, along with 4, 000 inland lakes and ponds. The state is home to 480 species of wild birds and wild mammals and many of which can be hunted on almost 1.5 million acres of state game lands. As befits a state with excellent hunting for big and small game like deer, waterfowl and wild turkey, hunting land was the most common type of land for sale in Pennsylvania. Of the 67 counties in the state, Tioga County had the most land and farms for sale.
